  • Washer-dryer is always a space-saving choice as no extra space is required for clothes drying.
  • Another space-saving choice is a clothes dryer which could be mounted on wall or stack on the top of washer.
  • To match with the kitchen design, built-in type dryer would be a good choice to hide inside the cooking cabinets.
  • If space is sufficient, clothes dryer with 5kg or similar washing capacity would be a wise choice as all washed clothes could be dried in one batch. Also, you may add an exhaust pipe to direct the exhaust air out of the flat.
  • Choosing clothes dryer granted with the energy label is always a wise choice.

Tips on Usage & Maintenance:

  • Install a power socket near dryer / washer-dryer.
  • Check the care label on the clothes to ensure that they can be safely tumble-dried.
  • Sort the clothes into loads that take similar drying time to prevent some garments from becoming over-dry while others are still damp.
  • Spin clothes at the highest spin speed which is suitable for the load type. The more water removed during the wash, the less time it takes to dry.
  • Shake clothes out and load individually to allow even drying of the clothes.
  • Allow enough room for clothes to tumble freely while loading.
  • Hang garments as soon as the dryer cycle is completed to reduce the need for ironing.
  • Make sure that the clothes have gone through the cool down/airing phase of the cycle.
  • Adhere to the appropriate temperature setting and drying time as instructed in the user manual.
  • Clean the lint filter either before or after using.
  • Maintain a good air ventilation while the dryer (without exhaust pipe) is operating.
  • Empty the water tank of the condensation dryer either before or after each load and clean the condenser regularly (according to the user manual) to make it more efficient.

  • Do not leave an operating dryer /washer-dryer unattended.
  • Do not overload the dryer /washer-dryer.
  • Do not tumble dry dripping wet garments.
  • Do not tumble dry delicate items, such as curtains of synthetic fabric, woolen garments, silk, textiles with a metal component and nylon socks / stockings.
  • Do not tumble dry clothes containing downs, latex, rubber, wax or being treated with flammable liquids to avoid the hazard of fire.
  • Do not obstruct the exhaust vent of a dryer.
  • Do not use the dryer if the lint filter is damage as this could cause overheating.
  • Do not open the door while the dryer is running.
