Heating
Principles:
-
Induction
– Induction heating generates magnetic field to the bottom of the ferrous
cookware which generates heat itself and releases no heat to the
environment. Hence, it is the most energy-efficient and environmental-friendly
cooking equipment. It is also powerful and safe. As it gives out neither
gas nor flame, there is no hazard of gas leakage or fire and the kitchen
can be made cooler and more comfortable.
-
Infra
red & heating element - Same as induction heating element, it
produces neither gas nor flame. Hence, there is no hazard of gas leakage
or fire and the kitchen can be made cooler and more comfortable.

of Cooking Zone & Power:
-
Hobs
with one cooking zone to 4 cooking zones are available.
-
Both

Tips
on Purchase:
-
Make
sure that the power provision in your kitchen is sufficient, especially
for those electric hobs requiring high power.
-
Make
sure that the number of cooking zone of electric hob is sufficient
for your family. Choices ranging from 1 cooking zone to normally 4 or even
5 are available.
-
Make
sure that the color or materials of electric hob matches with your
kitchen. Choices such as stainless steel, enamel, tempered glass, ceramic glass
and beveled glass are available.
-
Make
sure that the type of heating principle of the electric hob fits your
cooking habit as different heating principles have different heating speed and
may require different types of cookware.
-
Many
electric hobs offer both built-in type and free-standing type. If revamp
of the cooking bench is possible or you are going to renovate your
kitchen, built-in type is also a wise choice.
Tips on Usage and Maintenance:
DO
-
Use
cookware with even base and size compatible to the cooking zone. Large
difference will reduce the level of heat transmission.
-
Use
wok with curvature exactly the same as the wok-shape heating element.
-
Only
use ferrous cookware, such as stainless steel, cast iron, etc. for induction
cooker.
-
Place
cookware on the heating element before turning the hob on.
-
Turn
off the heating element (except induction heating element) a few minutes prior
to the end of the cooking process to save energy
-
Clean
the hob when it is cool and powered off.
-
Only
use cloth or sponge with soapy water or light detergent to wipe dirt sustain on
glass surface material.
DO
NOT
-
Do
not use cookware made of ceramic, glass, copper bronze, aluminium over
induction heating element.
-
Do
not place any food / sealed can / paper / cloth / aluminum foil / small metal
objects directly on electric heating element when it is operating to prevent
overheating or explosion.
-
Do
not touch the heating element immediately after cooking as it is still hot.
-
Do
not use the electric hob if its surface is cracked or damaged.
-
Do
not rinse or immerse the free-standing electric hob in water for cleaning.
-
Do
not use abrasive or corrosive products for cleaning.
-
Do
not place credit card, disc, watch, radio or pacemaker near the induction
cooker.
-
Do
not leave substances like lemon, tomato juice, salty water, vinegar, coffee or
milk on the enamel surface for a long while.
Installation:
DO
-
Install concealed
power point beneath the cooking bench for electric hob during
renovation, if any, to avoid exposing the cables for installation afterwards.
-
All
electric hobs must be installed by licensed technicians.
-
Use
individual power circuit with 13A or above.
-
Make
sure that the dimensions of the opening for built-in type electric hob is
correct before cutting the cooking bench and the bench must be
heat–resistant.
-
Reserve sufficient
space between the electric hob and the kitchen wall and the range hood.
-
Add
a separator below the electric hob to isolate it from the cooking cabinet.
Sufficient space with a vent hole for air ventilation should be reserved
between the electric hob and the separator.
DO
NOT
-
Do
not install induction hob near gas appliances as high surrounding
temperature would result in high temperature cut-off while cooking.
-
Do
not put screw, screw driver, wire into the in/out vent hole to block
ventilation.
